Closing Notes:
I think the thing of most interest is the last leg of the trip. As I noted, we waited about 15 minutes longer to take a 720 Rapid rather than a 20 Local back to Westwood. It was a gamble, be we ended up arriving at the same time as the local bus. This was a lesson in perceived time on transit trips. Had I been alone, I almost certainly would have taken the first bus that came along that would get me to my destination. Nothing drives me crazier than standing in place going nowhere. Even is we stopped at every blocked, at least we would have been moving on the local bus
However, when you're with a group of friends, the extra wait seems practically negligible. No one had anywhere important to be, so we used the extra time to talk about the events of the evening before we got on the bus and sat quietly. |
