That's simply how I feel about the 720 every time I ride it, especially in the evenings (people returning from work, done with classes, etc.). There is a crowd waiting for the bus's arrival.
Casting shadows
The Rapid bus is not hard to find, especially with its red decor and large signs differentiating it from the other bus stops. Shadows are signs of shaded areas, but also reminds me that the sun is setting and I must go home.
What is this?
Is this an attempt to shade riders waiting for the 20/720/920? Or is it an outrageous decoration for people to notice the bus stop? The time estimator marquee was not working!
Bikes, cars, buses
Still waiting for the bus to arrive allows me to notice the streetscape. I really like the dramatic shadowing of the tree and bike; the fading blue sky; the linear windows of the buildings.
Nature imprints itself
The tree above casts such vivid and clear patterns on the cement.
My bus arrives!
I've always wanted to have a bike, just so I can place it in front of the bus. What a sleek design.
Photosynthesis
Sun + green = growth!
A stream of people enter
Just when I thought that I was the last one, more people could streaming in.
Black frame
There is a black frame around the Wilshire corridor. My transit photograph. Such an urban view.
Sleepers.
The bus ride to and from a destination can be tiring, and people are usually riding the bus after an activity. A shopping woman sleeps.
Graphics with words
That's pretty necessary. I sometimes wish I could design the interior of a bus.
Does public transit
Learning through my transportation geography class that public transit is not the magic bullet...
My bus rider partner!
This is probably the first time I actually had a seat on the 720. And I didn't have to wait until a major stop for people to get off!
